Chatts Cottage is a self contained, self-catering holiday cottage located close to the centre of the picturesque village of Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) within a three minute walk from an award winning sandy beach.

The Schreiber kitchen is equipped with a fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, a large Stoves electric cooker and electric heating. Heating is provided throughout, there is a television with DVD player and a CD / radio / cassette player.

The lounge has a beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace and the original slate floor. Seating is provided by way of two large leather settees and a separate armchair. Heating in the lounge is by way of an attractive stove electric fire.

The bathroom has a heated towel rail, a fully tiled shower over bath and W.C.

There is a drying area along the balcony and an outside W.C. For your additional comfort night storage heaters are provided for early and late holidays.

Some few yards from the cottage are 32 easy steps which lead onto the front, shops, harbour and sandy beach.

The cottage has its own drive and provides parking for one car.

All bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price.

Please note that Chatts Cottage is a non-smoking property. Sorry we do not allow pets.

How to Reach Church Street - When approaching from Machynlleth come along the promenade to the centre of Aberdovey, go past the Dovey Hotel and take the immediate right turn up Copperhill Street .

Take the second right across the main square and right again up Church Street . Chatts Cottage is approximately 75 metres on the left hand side at the top of our own drive.

Aberdovey is the pretty, unspoilt seaside village you thought had disappeared forever. It stands on the Dovey estuary facing south west set like a jewel between sea and hills, with pretty cottages, excellent shopping facilities, a magnificent sandy beach and sand dunes stretching around to Tywyn. There are facilities for sailing, water skiing, fishing, tennis, putting, bowls, pony trekking and a championship golf course. There is also a Leisure Centre at Tywyn and Machynlleth.

Many lovely and interesting places can be reached on foot or by car. Wonderful valleys such as Tal-y-llyn, Happy Valley by the top road which goes off to the left at the top of Church Street and continues for two miles from where one can walk to the Bearded Lake and Echoing Stone. Bird Rock and Castell-y- Bere in the Dysynni Valley . The Roman Walk, Aberdovey. The Torrent Walk near Dolgellau. The Dolgoch Falls, ideal for a rainy day. The Cregennen Lakes and Cader Idris near Arthog, the miniature railway from Tywyn, the Rhyd-yr-onnen Valley near Bryn Crug and a host of other places too numerous to mention.

There is a railway station in Aberdovey and the approach to the village along the estuary by road or train is a sheer delight.
